Ditto call handling features

Presents more call handling options.

Ditto dialpad

Keypad

Opens the Key Pad so you can enter digits while on a call, such as when navigating an auto attendant.

Ditto speaker on

Speakerphone

Enable/Disable the speaker phone.  If a Bluetooth is connected, this icon is replaced by a Bluetooth icon ().  A tablet’s speaker phone is always enabled unless headphones or a Bluetooth headset are detected.

DItto mute

Mute

Mutes the user's microphone.

Ditto hold

Hold

Places a call on hold, allowing the user to answer an incoming or place an outgoing call.  Press this again to retrieve the call from hold.  The caller placed on hold will hear music

Ditto add call

Add Call

Allows users to add an additional call to an already active call, or make a new outgoing call and swap between the two calls.

Ditto swap

Swap

This allows users to switch between active or ringing calls.  Pressing SWAP places the current call on hold while connecting to the second call.  Press this again to reverse the action.  This icon is only displayed when multiple calls are active.

Pressing the More icon on an active call provides the following additional call handling options.

Ditto transfer

Transfer

This transfers the call to another number. Once the transfer is complete, the call will end for the ESI Ditto user.

Follow these steps to transfer a call:

  1. While on an active call, press the more button.
  2. Then press the transfer button. 
  3. Dial the number or select a contact's number that you wish to transfer to. 
  4. Press the call button to complete the transfer.

Follow these steps to perform a supervised transfer of a call:

  1. While on an active call, press the add call button.
  2. Dial the number or select a contact's number that you wish to transfer to. 
  3. Confirm with the other party to accept the transfer.
  4. Then press the more button. 
  5. Press transfer to complete the transfer.

Ditto record

Record

This provides the user the option to record the call.  Pressing this button starts recording the conversation, and only stops when the user presses the button again or ends the call. Calls that have been recorded can be downloaded and played through the call history page of the Cloud Communications Dashboard.

Ditto park

Call Park

This allows the user to park a call into a call queue from a single phone on the ESI Cloud system so that any other users on the system can retrieve it.  The parked caller hears hold music while waiting.

Follow these steps to park or retrieve a call:

  1. While on an active call, press the more button.
  2. Then press the call park button. 
  3. The system will play back a message stating the number of the call queue where the call was transferred. 
  4. The call can now be retrieved from any phone on the system by simply dialing the number for the call park queue.
