Forward calls when phone is offline (emergency forwarding)

This type of answering rule allows you to forward your phone calls to another phone number or destination when your main phone for your extension is offline. This can be used as a disaster recovery solution if your internet connection ever goes down for any reason. 

Here's a brief overview of how to forward your calls when offline:

  1. Hover your mouse pointer over an existing rule and click on Edit Button to edit the rule.
  2. Click the checkbox for Call Forwarding, When Offline.
  3. Enter the destination where your calls will be sent if your phone ever goes offline.
    • This can be an external phone number such as a home phone or a cellular phone.
    • This can be set to send all calls directly to voicemail instead of ringing.
    • Calls can also be sent to another user, which can be at another office or location.

NOTE: After saving, ensure your new rule has priority by clicking the arrows and dragging the rule to the top of the list.
